What Is NIOS?

NIOS is an" Open Schooling" to feed the requirements of a miscellaneous group of learners up to degree position. In July 2002, the Ministry of Education( MOE) changed the title of the organisation from the National Open School( NOS) to the National Institute of Open Schooling( NIOS) with a task to give applicable resuming education at academy stage, up to pre-degree position through Open Learning system to prioritised customer groups as an volition to formal system, in performance of the normative public policy documents and response to the need assessments of the people, and through it to make its share of donation
